Litigation Executive

Location: Denton, Greater Manchester

Salary: £20,000 - £23,000 dependant on experience

37.5 per week

About the company:

Our client are one of the biggest and fastest growing Rating Agents in the UK undertaking rating appeals across different sectors. They act on the behalf of small to medium sized business occupiers nationwide with over 30,000 client property instructions to date.

Duties of the Litigation Executive:

  • Vetting client accounts and providing recommendations
  • Corresponding with clients and their representatives
  • Drafting court documentation for the small claims track including: particulars of claim, witness statements, defences etc
  • Attending court as a representative of the Company
  • Providing legal advice to internal departments

Requirements of the Litigation Executive:

  • Experience of handling your own case load of debt recovery cases
  • An understanding of Civil Litigation and experience of following the Practice Direction on Pre-Action Protocol
  • Good knowledge of the differences between different company entities and how this can affect debt recovery
  • Good knowledge of contract law
  • Good drafting skills
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Good negotiator
  • Strong communication skills
  • Able to use own initiative
