Litigation Executive

Worthing, West Sussex

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday - 8:00am to 4:30pm with 1 hour for lunch

Salary £17000 with salary review scheme, annual bonus and lots of additional benefits

The Litigation Executive will support the business needs through understanding the legal process, preparing legal documentation, dealing with customer queries, the Land Registry and understanding county court documentation. Focus, determination and a positive outlook is required.

We require a self-motivated team player with exceptional communication and organization skills; a highly confident and target driven individual who is willing to learn. You will adapt well to change and will always be looking for ways to improve.

Your education will be Senior High School education or GCSE equivalent.

Previous experience should be within an administrative role in a process driven office environment.

Key accountabilities and responsibilities

  • Process Court documentation and transferring information onto internal systems accurately
  • Prepare enforcement applications to send to court
  • Deal with general incoming post and respond appropriately
  • Correspond with the courts, Land Registry and debt management companies via the telephone
  • Accurately update incoming and outgoing correspondence on Nexum to clients, courts and customers
  • Read and understand Land Registry official copy entry documents & transfer information accurately to litigation system
  • Prepare legal documentation for service
  • Provide assistance on projects where required
  • Ensure 100% compliance
  • Any other task deemed appropriate by the Litigation Team Leader
  • Look to continually improve own and team performance, putting forward improvement ideas in a constructive manner

The ideal litigation executive will have:

  • Formal Education & Certification
  • GCSE qualifications or equivalent
  • Relevant qualification (desirable)

Knowledge & Experience

  • Previous experience of an administrative role in a process driven office environment
  • Previous experience of working in a legal environment (desirable)
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office applications i.e. Excel, Word
