Law Firm Office Manager

Our client based in Surrey is looking to recruit an experienced office manager to start asap to work within their growing law firm.

You will have experience of managing a law firm and:

• Be extremely well organised and have excellent time management skills
• Have excellent communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Ideally hold a University degree

Duties:
You will be responsible for the general day-to-day office management and ensuring the smooth running of the office, to include:

• Assisting with staff recruitment
• Preparing documentation for and organising staff appraisals
• Supervising and maintaining solicitors’ continued professional development and training records
• Producing, implementing and maintaining the firm’s rules and policies and ensuring their full compliance with regulatory requirements and best practice
• Ensuring compliance with Employment Law and Health & Safety Legislation
• Completing and submitting the SRA`s Equality and Diversity questionnaire
• Renewing solicitors’ Practising Certificates and annual SRA firm authorization
• Applying for and maintaining compliance with Lexcel accreditation/standards
• Liaising with external regulators, accountants and auditors
• Maintaining the firm’s staff and other databases
• Managing the firm’s business insurances renewal processes
• Managing and reviewing supplier contracts
• Maintaining the office condition and arranging necessary repairs
• Managing and maintaining the content of the firm’s website
• Arranging and managing legal directory submissions
• Reporting to the Practice Manager and Managing Partner
• Other duties as may reasonably be assigned to you from time to time
