Your new role
In your new role as IT Support Manager you'll be responsible for the provision and technical support of the IT end user infrastructure and Service Desk, including architectural design, functionality and security. You'll manage the day to day operations of the IT Support Team ensuring an effective, efficient and best value IT service is provided. You'll lead, motivate and develop your team members on a day to day basis to ensure the effective and efficient provision of IT services. You'll also allocate duties and priorities to ensure deadlines are achieved.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed as the IT Support Manager you'll have substantial management experience of managing technical teams in a large organisation. You'll possess experience of providing highly customer focused IT support services in a large organisation alongside experience of managing in an ITIL environment. Strong financial skills are also necessary including budgetary experience of managing budgets in excess of £500k and managing contracts with values in excess of £100k. Good knowledge of the wide range of technologies used by users within a large organisation is essential with in depth knowledge of ITIL, ISO 27001 and other IT industry standards. You'll also possess an understanding of and commitment to equality principles and practices. There will be occasional travel between sites in Bedfordshire & Cambridgeshire so personal transport would be needed.
