IT Support/ Administrator

Location: City Centre

Salary: £21,000 Per Annum

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the stable operation of the in-house computer network and all connected PCs and peripherals, including planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network hardware, software, and communication links
  • Working with off-site engineers and administrators to resolve internally and externally facing network interfaces
  • Supporting infrastructure changes to develop new network interfaces for processing centre customer on-boarding
  • Maintaining inventory lists of all equipment, including computers/laptops, networking hardware, software peripherals, etc
  • Analysing and resolving end user hardware and software computer problems in a timely and accurate fashion, and providing end user training where required
  • Maintaining networked facilities including file servers, shared resources and printers;
  • Management of software licenses used within the business
  • Management of external IT support when required
  • Recommending , scheduling, and performing improvements, upgrades, and repairs
  • Developing, documenting, and training on hardware installation and troubleshooting procedures
  • Managing purchases of IT hardware/software when required

Skills Required:

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science or equivalent and/or other relevant professional education/experience and/or certifications
  • Windows and OS X administration
  • Knowledge of Cisco networking hardware basic configuration
  • Knowledge of Cisco switching and routing
  • IT infrastructure and cabling standards
  • Experience working in a professional IT support role is preferable but not essential
  • Strong communication skills (both spoken and written are essential)
  • Flexible and be willing to work varying shift patterns and also be on call as and when required
