International Team Assistant North Birmingham

My client are an international business based in North Birmingham looking to recruit a Team Assistant Assistant to support their in-house Intellectual Property Team. The role is busy and varied and would suit a candidate has has strong IT skills and has supported a team in an international environment.

  • Assist in the management and maintenance of the associated databases

  • Assist in the construction of contractual agreements

  • On a monthly basis, pro-actively manage the progress, renewal and expiration contractual documentation, liaising with business units and operating companies and under the guidance of the IP & Legal Counsel drafting extensions and terminations of contracts where appropriate.

  • Prepare standard formality documentation as required for the prosecution Patents and Trademarks

  • Assist in the preparation and collation of documentary evidence required to assist external attorneys and provide legal advice in such matters to facilitate these activities.

  • Support the administrative, contractual and legal elements of licensing programmes across all business units including the drafting, management, and execution of internal intercompany license and research and development agreements associated with the management of the group Intellectual Property Rights.

  • Assisting in the roll out of projects across the business eg data protection

  • Working with Excel spreadsheets using fomulae and pivot tables

Applicants will have previous experience supporting a team in an international environment. Exposure to manufacturing or engineering would be ideal. You will have experience of drawing up documents and working with excel and databases. Legal qualifications would also be an advantage but not essential as training will be provided.
