Quality Control Inspector

Thatcham, UK

Salary: £24,000 - £27,000

Hours: Monday - Thursday: 8.30am - 5pm, Friday: 8.30am - 4.30pm

Contract Type: Permanent

Our client, a leading distributor of electronic and electrical components, is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to join their General Inspection Department at their Thatcham based warehouse. As a Quality Control Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and accuracy in their products.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct visual inspection of electronic components
  • Visually inspect incoming products for defects, adhering to defined inspection criteria
  • Record all inspection findings, including photographic records, to maintain accurate product records
  • Identify and report nonconforming products
  • Maintain electronic stock locations in Global Trader system
  • Pick products according to daily priority list
  • Adhere to ESD precaution at all times
  • Conduct checks to verify authenticity of electronic components
  • Ensure calibration of tools and equipment
  • Adhere to internal procedures to maintain quality certifications
  • Collaborate in continuous improvement activities
  • Interpret data sheets and technical documents
  • Maintain a tidy working area and practise good housekeeping

Requirements:

  • Quality-conscious individual experienced in working in a clean environment
  • Attention to detail and reliability is essential
  • Good written English and ability to update NC information in Global Trader
  • Knowledge of ISO9001, 1AS6081, AS6171, ISO17025, and IDEA 1010B is an advantage
