If you’re an experienced HR Business Partner or Manager looking for a fresh challenge, leading a small team and supporting a new business venture then this is the role for you.
In what has been a tricky market for a short while, we are delighted to be supporting a business going from strength to strength that is seeking a new HR Manager to lead the HR function and support the business through the rollout of a new service line.
The HR Manager will lead a small team and support an employee base of around 500 in an FMCG environment at a time where a new service line is being built from scratch so the HR Manager will enjoy working in a hybrid environment with some existing functions, as well supporting the new start-up business.
The purpose of the HR Manager is to oversea the team and the operational HR delivery while focusing on tactical and strategic initiatives. The role will benefit from a truly generalist remit and, due to the fast paced nature of the business, will never see two days the same. Priorities for the postholder will be employee engagement, talent and change management as the business seeks to recruit the right people, manage talent effectively and maintain low levels of attrition. You’ll be the escalation point for complex ER cases and will ensure the team is enacting the policies and processes effectively, tweaking and rewriting where required.
The role will report into the HR Director but will work with a huge amount of autonomy so will suit someone that thrives in a leadership role with accountability and ownership.
To be considered…
You’ll need to be an experienced HRM or BP with experience in FMCG, retail or distribution. You’ll be a commercial and pragmatic operator with ideally some prior line management experience and will be a self-starter. With lofty ambition, the business is hopeful that in time, a successful hire will have the opportunity to progress within the business.
