We’re working with an incredibly successful and growing business based in South Tyneside to recruit a HR Business Partner who would cover a period of maternity leave for 12 months.

About the role:
Reporting into an incredibly supportive Group HR Manager and working within a small HR team, you will provide a Generalist HR service which includes advice and guidance relating to employee relations, recruitment and HR policies.
Stakeholder management will be key to your success and so the ability to build relationships with management and collaboration with colleagues across other business functions will be crucial.
Whilst supporting your stakeholders with Generalist HR operations, your duties will include; offering advice to line management regarding employee relations cases and recruitment, coaching and training management to overcome challenges such as timekeeping, absence and performance as well as beginning to identify trends and adopt a more proactive approach to employee relations. At times, ER cases will be complex and so the confidence to lead disciplinary and grievance cases is essential.
A key part of your role will also be to encourage self-sufficiency and leadership competence therefore a resilient and proactive approach to true business partnering is crucial. This will also include designing and delivering HR workshops regularly.
Resourcing will also be a top priority in your role and so you must be driven to source & support the business in recruiting excellent talent to aid the future growth plans and overcome skills gaps.

A CIPD qualification is ideal as well as a proven track record as a true HR operator.
