Established as a Special Health Board, NHS Education for Scotland is the provider of leading-edge specialist learning, education and skills development for all health service employees in Scotland. These General Practice Fellowships are for one year, from August 2018. Doctors from overseas wishing to be considered for these fellowships will need to achieve an overall score of 7.5 out of 9 in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) test.
You must have completed your General Practice Specialty Training prior to taking up post.

Salary will be £55,874pa for the F/T post and £27,937pa for the half time post. Any 2019/20 salary uplift will be applied.

These Health Inequality Fellowships aim to provide an introduction to the opportunities and challenges of delivering generalist skills in the context of service general practice in a relatively deprived area. There will be protected time to undertake additional training (education and/or a research project) relevant to your needs and those of the practice population. One full-time, one-year post is available in the West of Scotland and 2 x one-year, 0.5 WTE posts are available, one in each of South East of Scotland and East of Scotland.
