Outstanding opportunity for an experienced Funding Manager to join a forward thinking City based College, an employer with strong business partnerships established over many successful years.
This career role will support the College’s funding position, highlighting opportunities and risks as appropriate and to ensure data accuracy and audit compliance of student and related data. · Develop and support the college management information system (CMIS) in respect of funding. · Provide management information to support the core business, including providing funding earnings estimates, advise on funding issues, funding audit and quality performance measures.
Main Activities and Responsibilities
Successful candidate will be conversant with post 16 funding methodologies, audit guidelines and up to date on changes affecting college data operations and funding earnings, by reading circulars, liaising with funding bodies and attending training courses and seminars.
Support Head of department and colleagues across the college to ensure that data collected and submitted for funding purposes is valid and accurate and return deadlines for submission of data to external agencies are met.
Actively participate in and support external and internal audits.
Devise and implement monitoring arrangements and audit check reports, ensuring that data used for statistical and funding purposes is accurate and in line with the principles of data integrity.
To proactively assist with the development of the Course Management Information System in respect of funding and outcome performance, ensuring that platforms, formats and coding are compatible with existing and planned systems.
Produce and maintain accurate documentation of system implementation, bespoke developments, processes and procedures.
Compile/provide data analysis reports on data held by the CMIS e.g. students, courses, results etc., for presentation to management, governing body and submission to external agencies.
Assist in providing training on funding methodologies as appropriate to course planners, supported by clear training materials and guidelines.
Develop and maintain good working relationships with a wide range of people internal and external to the college. (Senior managers, Programme managers, Customer Service personnel, software suppliers and the funding bodies among others.)
Liaise with the software contractors regarding the configuration of data within the course management information system; make support calls and ensuring that all calls are logged and followed through to resolution.
To work as part of a team and contribute to Business Systems & Support team meetings and cross college working parties.
