Food & Beverage Team Leader

Posted 15 August by National Trust

We're looking for a Food & Beverage Team Leader to support our Food & Beverage Manager with supervising our friendly team here at Kingston Lacy. If you're passionate about customer satisfaction, leading a team and you'd like a role that offers daytime-only hours then this might be the perfect opportunity for you.

What it's like to work here

The outstanding art collection is one of the main attractions to this beautiful Italian-inspired mansion. As one of the National Trust’s 'treasure houses’, the 45 strong team have exciting times ahead as they embark on major conservation projects to preserve this 8,500 estate and its rare collection of artefacts. A Japanese garden and tearoom and community growing spaces are also among the key attractions at Kingston Lacy. The property has a rural location, so it’s likely you will require your own transport to get here.

What you'll be doing

Demonstrating inspirational and motivating leadership qualities, you'll ensure that every beverage and every dish that leaves our kitchen is of the highest quality and served with a warm, welcoming smile to our visitors. You'll be assisting with creating and amending the rotas as and when required, and flagging any issues such as low stock of particular products to the Food & Beverage Manager. We have a café that offers both an indoor and outdoor dining area which you and your team will clean, tidy and ensure it’s welcoming for our visitors. We have friendly but busy team staff here at Kingston Lacy who you'll be helping to lead. We can get extremely busy here, particularly during the warmer months of the year, so keeping calm and organised will be key in this role.
