SF Recruitment are recruiting for a part time Finance Assistant to join a business in Derbyshire on a temporary to permanent basis. This role is 30 hours per week, ideally to be worked over 4 days. Start and finish times can be flexible. Some of your responsibilities will be as follows:
-Taking ownership of the sales and purchase ledger
-Managing the process of claiming expenses including liaising with staff to ensure sufficient supporting documentation is provided
-Bank account management including generating payment runs, conducting routine bank reconciliations and posting of direct debits and bank payments
-Receiving and progressing requests for customer credit limits for both new and existing clients
-Proactive ownership of credit control within the business to ensure timely settlement of debtors and, where it is discovered that an invoice is queried by the client, working with them to get it resolved as quickly as possible
-Supporting the Management Accountant and Divisional Finance Partner with ad-hoc projects as required
As this role is initially temporary, you will need to be available immediately or on short notice. Ideally you will be AAT qualified or will be working towards this qualification. Candidates who aren't AAT qualified will also be considered, but you must be able to demonstrate the above experience within a varied, fast paced accounts environment.
