My client is a central London based bank seeking a full time Finance Assistant to join the team. The company seeks to recognise hardworking individuals and rewards them for the work that they put in. You will be reporting directly to the Senior Head of Finance and the main duties of a full time Finance Assistant include:
-Managing Bank reconciliation
-Managing daily reports.
-Weekly and Monthly Exchange rate change
-Ensure balance sheet accounts are fully reconciled each month
-Providing high quality balance sheet reconciliations
-Monthly Accruals and prepayments for management accounts
-Raising journals/ Undertaking journal procedures and ensuring cost policies are adhered too.
-General Ledger, Balance Sheet and P&L reconciliation
-Provide analysis of monthly management accounts/ manage, enhance and review the management accounts process
-Assisting with the timely preparation and submission of all regulatory reporting, including periodic and ad-hoc returns to the BoE, FCA, PRA and EBA.
We are looking for a strong analytical and organised individual with the ability to consistently meet tight deadlines to join our organisation based in the heart of London city.
The successful Finance Assistant will have:
-Minimum 3 years’ experience working as a reconciliation officer or in a similar role
-Good practical knowledge of management control systems
-Minimum 5 GCSE’s including mathematics and English with Accounting/Finance qualification.
-Computer literate and good Excel skills
-Knowledge of financial systems
Pay and Benefits
Salary £26k-28k per annum, dependant on experience.
We would prefer a candidate who can start immediately or with a short notice period.
