Are you looking for a role which is varied and supportive to the whole organisation? If you enjoy being active and on your feet, helping with a variety of tasks then this Facilities Assistant role could be right up your street. The role is working on a part time basis for a manufacturing company based in Ilminster, Somerset.

As a Facilities Assistant you will be responsible for supporting various teams in keeping the site functional and operational at all times, from managing wastage , supporting the engineering team and keeping manufacturing areas clean and tidy. You will also be walking around the site and carrying out various on site checks. 

Key responsibilities as a Facilities Assistant include:
  • Arranging Skip Collections
  • Emptying Rubbish Bins internally and externally
  • Assisting in the unloading of lorries when necessary
  • Supporting the engineering team with waste metal and coolant checks
  • Carrying out on site checks of stock and cleaning requirements
  • Supporting the warehouse team with stock management

We are ideally looking for someone with experience within a manufacturing or warehousing environment with an existing Counterbalance Fork Lift licence in order to support with unloading and storing deliveries. 

This role would suit anyone who has previously worked as; general operative, factory operative, engineering assistant, maintenance assistant, facilities assistant, warehouse assistant, fork lift diver, FLT Driver, cleaning operative or anyone with experience in a factory environment.

This role is working on a part time basis of 30 hours a week split across 4 days. The organisation are very flexible with how these hours are made up.

The role is initially on a long term temporary basis and is paying £10.00 per hour. All safety equipment including safety shoes can be provided.
