An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the growing ICT Department and become a member of the InfoSec team working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with new challenges every day. Based in our Clients Manchester Head Office.

The purpose of this role is to provide first line support for the day-to-day tasks and processes within the Infosec Team. This role reports to the Associate Director - Cyber Security, and you will work closely with all members of the Infosec Team and the wider business to resolve tickets and requests, responding to threats both proactively and reactively. You will work with all areas of IT, particularly Infrastructure, Service Desk and Development to ensure a consistent approach to information and cyber security.

This is a practical, hands-on role interacting with all areas of the business, so good customer facing skills and communication are essential. On a day-to-day basis you will manage all tickets and requests through Halo ITSM and Azure Sentinel, and you will become familiar with our DLP monitoring controls. Your work will be varied, and you will do an 80/20% split between daily tasks/tickets and projects.

Knowledge/Experience in some of the following areas:

  • Broad knowledge of cyber-attacks, techniques, and tools
  • Understanding of up-to-date security threats and common exploits
  • Data Loss Prevention concepts
  • Cloud Services (Azure, O365, AWS)
  • Understanding of adversary motivations in cybercrime and phishing attacks
