Location: Bournemouth
Salary: up to £30,000 depending on skills and experience + Free parking + Benefits
Report to: New Directions Manager
Type: Full-time, Fixed terms contract until the end of December 2019.

TeamJobs is excited to be working in partnership with a leading and well-known charity in the Bournemouth area who are seeking an Employer Engagement Officer to join their team on a full-time basis.

The successful candidate will be working to identify employers in the Bournemouth and Poole area who wish to be involved in New Directions by giving the skills and confidence to pursue employment in the Engineering and Manufacturing Industry. You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining effective partnerships with employers securing new job vacancies and training opportunities, particularly for local people.

Description
Key Responsibilities include:
-To develop effective working relationships between employers and the course Skills Tutors to ensure training is relevant and effective for employers
-Identify and engage with employers to promote our clients range of programmes.
-Engage with businesses/decision makers to identify training needs, give advice on employer contributions, overcome barriers and secure new/repeat business promoting our client as the Training Provider of choice.
-Develop strategies and solutions to increase employer engagement to actively source vacancies from employers and promote the opportunities to clients.

You need to be tenacious, well organised and extremely pro-active. In return, you will have the autonomy to run your desk the smartest way you know how, a supportive line manager who will help guide you through the specifics of the different training opportunities.
