Our client is seeking an experienced Emerging Talent Lead to join their law firm in Manchester. Hybrid working is available.

This role will take a lead on implementing the firm’s strategy in respect of attracting, selecting and developing emerging talent, with the primary focus being on their future solicitor pipeline. The Emerging Talent Lead will work closely with a number of key internal stakeholders on the development and implementation of the firm’s emerging talent strategy.

There will also be significant collaboration with the wider business, as well as the need to form effective working relationships with the many partners and colleagues in the firm who actively support talent attraction, selection and development. We desire a strong future talent pipeline of diverse talent with high potential.

Responsibilities

  • Successfully implementing the firms plan to transition from a traditional LPC Training Contract model to a rolling SQE Graduate Apprenticeship Programme (in partnership with an external training provider).

  • Experience of start to finish recruitment process ideally preferred - attracting, selecting, onboarding and inducting talent professionally and effectively.
  • Specialist expertise - a working knowledge of the graduate recruitment market is ideally preferred. An understanding of apprenticeships (and the levy) and an understanding of the traditional LPC Training Contract versus the new Solicitors Qualifying Examination route to qualification, would also be helpful.
