My client is based in South Hertfordshire, and their product range helps electricians and maintenance engineers carry out portable appliance testing, check fixed wiring for 17th Edition and Part P testing. Most products are designed in house by a small team of engineers with production being carried out mainly in Philippines & China.

Role

They now require an all-round senior digital and analogue engineer with experience of ARM cortex CPU’s or PIC’s and C software to develop new products. You should have the following key skills and abilities:

C programming for microcontrollers especially ARM or PIC.

General knowledge of circuit design including mains circuits & high voltage measurements.

Working as part of a team to ensure products meet relevant standards such as EN61010, EN61243-3 and EN61557.

Experience designing op amp circuits, ADC measurements and using high power MOSFETs a bonus.

Knowledge of Solidworks & Altium useful but not essential.

Ability to communicate effectively by email with overseas production engineers whose mother tongue is not English.

You will want to see the designs you work on productionised & manufactured and put into use by our customers

Duration Permanent with a Probation Period of 3 months = 60 working days, during which time you will be paid through Reed Engineering.

Salary Between £50,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending upon skills and experience

Hours 40 hours a week

Annual Leave 20 days plus 8 days Bank Holidays rising to 30 days plus Bank Holidays after long service
