Development Technical Lead

I am currently partnered with a local government body in Central London supporting them with a ongoing transportation project they are undertaking.

They are looking for a Technical Lead to join their team on a initial 2-year term. The role is INSIDE IR35 paying up to £550 per day DOE & will require two days on-site at the clients offices in Central London.

Please note that you will require the relevant right to work within the UK & that NO sponsorship will be provided.

The Technical Lead will have expert knowledge of designing, building, and enhancing integrated solutions using Microsoft Development Technologies.

The Technical Lead will be expected to participate in Technical Governance Processes and work with all others as necessary within the project including the Senior Product Owner, Senior Test Analysts, Technical Delivery Leads, Solution Architects, and other stakeholders to establish an optimal solution which meets requirements, adheres to technical strategy / constraints and considers total cost of ownership.

As part of the FTP Development Team the Technical Lead will be accountable for the high-quality software output and appropriate supporting documentation.

The Team will deliver a fully working solution that meets the requirements agreed with the Authority in the timescales defined by the Authority. The requirements and timescales will be agreed through the Product refinement and Agile planning process. The solution should comply with the security, accessibility and engineering standards agreed with the Authority.

The Team is expected to support the delivery of enhancements to the Contactless Back-office product area through development, testing, user acceptance, deployment to production and early life support, using their professional skills and expertise to plan and deliver all of the services for this statement of works under their own direction and control, but monitored by the Authority's appointed persons.

The Technical Lead will be expected to lead technical design decisions and contribute to planning and estimation of work required to achieve the Team deliverables.

Required Skills

Expert in industry standard development methodologies and tools

Expert in Design of high-volume Back Office Systems hosted on-premise

Expert in the following Technical Skills

• C# .Net, C# .Net Core
• MS SQL Server
• TDD, Object Oriented Design, Clean Code Techniques

Experience deploying Microsoft Azure services using Azure DevOps Pipelines including Bicep

Demonstrable experience of working on high-volume transactional systems of a similar size, nature and complexity as FTP over the past 5 years

Experience maintaining applications on Azure is beneficial
