Data Compliance & Protection Officer

Do you have a passion for data protection and compliance including PCI and GDPR?

Want to join a rapidly growing business to create a brand new department within the group of companies?

We are looking for a Data Compliance Officer to join our team, and be the first in a brand new department. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape and create a department from the ground up. You will have the full support of the wider team.

Experience in this area or a related areais

desireable, however attitude and transferale skills are equally important, as we can provide the training development support you need to get up and running.

About You

The successful candidate should have the following skills:

  • Prior experience of working in a compliance or auditing role is desirable but not essential as we can provide support and training
  • Thorough knowledge of GDPR or PCI DSS or both
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to lead and manage a team longer term
  • A high standard of documentation and writing skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • The drive and determination to create and develop a new department

Certifications such as CISA or Certified EU General Data Protection Regulation Practitioner are desirable, but can also be provided to a successful candidate.

About The Role

As Compliance Officer you will take ownership of international GDPR and PCI DSS compliance within our group of companies.

The role will have you engage with the heads of departments around the company to monitor and ensure compliance in all areas of the business.

You will ensure that:
EnsureLegisaltive compliance with GDPR PCI etc

  • Internal policies and procedures complies with the relevant regulations

  • Policies and procedures are implemented throughout the group of companies

  • There are effective internal compliance measures

  • Our data processors are audited and compliant

  • External audits are handled efficiently and seen through to completion

International travel will be required from time to time.
