Exact working hours: To start - 7.30 – 9.00, 3.00 – 6.00 plus admin hours
After six month probation, it is hoped hours will increase to approx – 7.30 – 12.00, 2.30 – 6.00 which includes admin. There may be some evening work.
Any further details: This is a new role and the successful candidate will be expected to work with the Directors and Area Manager to identify community need.
The ideal candidate will have relevant childcare qualification and experience in a managerial position.
The ability to develop the role to meet the needs of the local community but, initially providing high quality breakfast and after school club provision, linked to Sandcross Primary school.
It is hoped this role will evolve to include additional services for children and families in the local community. The CPM role will be to research, analyse and implement additional services.
Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
Confidence to present, promote and provide a variety of child-related services.
Good leadership skills. Ability to lead a team of Playworkers
Assist in recruitment of Sports Coach and/or Forest School Playworker.
Strong knowledge and understanding of Playwork, Ofsted Welfare Requirements and other related legislation.About the role
This role will be based at South Park Sports Club and, in the first instance, provide additional wraparound childcare to our existing service within Sandcross Primary school, which is currently over-subscribed.
The CPM will build strong relationships with the Sandcross team and local community to enable the role to evolve and additional services to be added. This might include - Mother and Toddler groups, Baby Massage and other community-related projects.
Collaboration with other local schools, nurseries and the local Children Centre will help to identify local need.
Assist our Forest School Head in promoting, marketing and delivery.
This is an exciting role which, may start small but the aim is to continually consult the community to provide a high quality Community Kidz setting.
