Claims Manager - Cheshire

CCA Recruitment are proud to be working with a leading organisation providing insurance services across a number of fields. With over 15 million customers who are fiercely loyal our client is always looking at ways to enhance the customer experience and as part of this are looking to hire a Claims Manager based in their operations centre in Cheshire. This hire is being made to drive enhancements to the claims team of over 150fte and continuous improvement to processes to enhance the customer experience and reduce costs.

Key responsibilities of the Claims Manager

  • To provide leadership, Motivation and development to a team of 150fte through a direct team of claims team managers
  • Work with the Senior Management Team to build the strategy for the claims function for the next 3 years.
  • To map and review all processes undertaken within the claims function to drive improvements to the customer claims process as well as drive cost reductions
  • To work closely with partner suppliers to improve claims resolution and to ensure customer fixes are carried out within agreed SLA's.

To be successful in applying for the role of Claims Manager you must be able to demonstrate the following experience:

  • Extensive people management experience at second line management level with a team ideally over 100fte - if you have managed smaller teams with claims experience this will be considered
  • Experience of managing claims functions ideally within the insurance industry
  • Demonstrable experience of improving processes for the benefits of customers and to reduce costs - a six sigma or lean qualification would be beneficial
  • Experience of supplier and contract management is desirable but not essential
