Hays Social care are currently recruiting on a temporary basis for residential support workers to work with a number of children's homes around Oxfordshire.
The role involves engaging with young people to promote self-worth, education and community involvement. You will be responsible for encouraging day to day tasks, taking the young people to school, activities and visits where required. Manage behavioural issues, administer medication when required. Conduct Risk assessments and update support plans. You will be expected to work shift patterns as required.
You will ideally have previous experience working with children and young people, either within a residential setting or experience working with challenging behaviour. If you have transferable skills working with adults with complex needs, autism you will also be considered. Ideally you will hold a level 3 in Children and young people or be willing to work towards this, and hold a full driving license.
