An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time/part time highly-organised bookkeeper to join a private haulage company, based in South Kirkby, West Yorkshire, reporting directly to the company directors.
As the Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for the company’s financial records including:-
·Recording all financial transactions.
·Maintaining the company’s ledgers.
·Handling accounts payable and receivable.
·Ensuring customers are invoiced promptly and correctly.
·Recording customer payments.
·Recording Supplier invoices and ensuring they are authorised and correctly coded.
·Paying Suppliers promptly according to terms.
·Reconciling the company’s bank accounts and control accounts.
·Completing company VAT returns.
·Liaising with the Company Accountants in preparing year end statutory accounts.
·Additional bookkeeping and other duties as designated by management
The candidate must be confident at using computerised accounting systems, Microsoft Excel and Word, and have knowledge of Wages and PAYE. The candidate must be reliable and have good communication skills.
Remuneration will be dependant upon experience and working hours.
