I am looking to recruit an BIM Coordinator to join an AJ TOP 20 practice in central London. My client is a major international practice of architects, designers, engineers and urbanists who create outstanding places for people.
With many different studios across the world, they were originally established over 50 years and combine knowledge with the vision, values and infrastructure of a major award-winning practice. They have won over 900 awards for their design quality and is one of the best known interdisciplinary practices in the world.
The successful candidate will be implementing the use of BIM through project teams, you will be in a key position to contribute to a range of projects across multiple sectors such as Healthcare, Housing and Education, and the company-wide BIM Management team to shape the future use of BIM throughout the practice.
You will have a key practical role on BIM projects and be responsible for the BIM workflow and act as a Revit Super User to co-ordinate and programme the use of Revit and associated software to deliver BIM to meet client requirements.
-Registered as an Architect/Technologist (or equivalent)
-Minimum of 5 years experience working as a BIM Coordinator
-Leading BIM processes across a range of medium to large scale construction projects.
-Advanced user of Revit and Navisworks
-Detailed understanding of commercial construction techniques, the rationale behind design decisions and their application through BIM processes with a strong knowledge of BS1192:2007 and PAS documentation, particularly PAS1192:Parts 2,3,4, & 5.
You will be able to develop BIM Execution Plans from client meetings and Employers Information Requirements, implement and maintain BIM processes for the project and ensure robust quality control procedures to ensure all models and datasets are accurate, and that the level of information is fit for purpose.
You will be enthusiastic about the potential of BIM, have the ability to train less experienced software users, and be able to champion its benefits within project teams. You will be diplomatic and pragmatic, able to deliver sound advice and instruction to the project team and liaising with the design team while maintaining strong client focus.
A working knowledge of Codebook to manage data outside but linked to Revit is also highly desirable.
Embracing an interdisciplinary design ethos, you will collaborate with clients, Revit specialists, design professionals, and project participants at all levels to implement fully integrated BIM coordination, documentation and quality management.
