Azure DevOps Developer - London Market - Insurance

This role will work closely with Risk Aggregation and other members of the Research & Development team to develop the implementation of technology to support commercial operations and knowledge of catastrophe risk, within a global insurance organisation.

The Research & Development team is responsible for the continuous development of the business' understanding of its risk profile through two key pillars

The management and development of external and internal tools related to Risk Aggregation to deliver best-in-class processes and analytics across the team and business.

About you

You'll hold commercial experience across full-stack development including some familiarity of Azure PaaS services (App Services, Function Apps, Service Bus, Azure Storage, Key Vaults, Azure SQL, Azure AD)

Ideally you'll have previous experience in the Lloyd's/London Market gained at a (re)insurer, broker, software vendor, regulator or consultancy. As well as Front-end development (familiarity with javaScript frameworks - React/Vue), CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps or equivalent), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)

Apart from the technical side you'll have an understanding of commercial catastrophe modelling tools used in the (re)insurance industry (e.g. RMS/AIR) is preferred with previous experience of validating these models desirable.
