Associate Practitioner / Healthcare Scientist Associate (HSA) in Cardiology Outpatient Department and community Cardiology– Band 4

Salary £21,892 - £24,157 pa

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 4 position to join Cardiology Outpatient and community Cardiology department. as a Healthcare Scientist Associate.

Working as part of a team, the successful applicant will be expected to co-ordinate the daily clinics to ensure the smooth running of the department, on site at the John Radcliffe and also in specified Community Clinics. The post holder will ensure the patient pathway is seamless, minimising delays and co-ordinating the MDT of clinicians, healthcare scientists, healthcare scientist assistants and nursing assistants. There will also be some responsibility for overseeing and arranging cover for all Community Cardiology clinics.

Applicants should ideally have achieved the Society for Cardiological Science & Technology Certificate in Electrocardiography/ASCST part1, Care Certificate OR Equivalent NVQ and be able to demonstrate considerable experience in performing ECGs. ECG interpretation and Basic or Hospital Life Support qualification would be advantageous.

Candidates should have a mature, caring attitude and be calm and confident in their approach to work. Good communication, organisation and customer care skills are essential for this role.
