Last night I told Sky News that so far this year 86,000 new jobs had been posted on reed.co.uk, an increase of 18% on the same period last year! I also told of optimistic prospects for the labour market in 2017. I might have added that reed.co.uk has received 1.3 million job applications in the first 11 days of the year – more than 100,000 a day.
