Day 1 – UX research, day 2 – UI design, day 3 – Wireframing using Figma, day 4 and 5 — project work

From UX research and UI design fundamentals, wireframing and rapid prototyping in Sketch, Figma and Adobe XD, to behavioural psychology in UX and Content design. An insightful, hands-on & affordable 5-day course run by a professional UX designer with 15+ years of experience.

DAY 1 — UX DESIGN

We'll show you how to carry out user research, map user journeys, create IA, run usability testing, track conversions and more.

DAY 2 — UI DESIGN

You'll learn the base User Interface design principles, how to create an icon font and optimise for touch, make your UI responsive and accessible and more.

  • accessibility (how to get WCAG-compliant)
  • components (usability practices, affordance)

DAY 3 — RAPID WIREFRAMING & PROTOTYPING

You'll create an interactive prototype of a mobile website using Sketch, Figma or Adobe XD, which you'll then be able to run and test on your mobile phone.

Requirements

No previous design background required. We'll teach you everything you need to know. You'll need a laptop with Figma/Sketch or Adobe XD app installed (that works on both Windows and MacOS) or Sketch app (if you use MacOS).

We're currently running UK government-funded UX Skills Bootcamps. We're yet to schedule paid courses.

FAQs

Study method describes the format in which the course will be delivered. An endorsed course is a skills based course which has been checked over and approved by an independent awarding body. Endorsed courses are not regulated so do not result in a qualification - however, the student can usually purchase a certificate showing the awarding body's logo if they wish. Certain awarding bodies - such as Quality Licence Scheme and TQUK - have developed endorsement schemes as a way to help students select the best skills based courses for them.
