Overview

The Thriving at Work course has been designed to provide you with a quick guide that will help you understand the importance of workplace wellness and well-being. Our modern work environments place a lot of pressure on our time management, with growing expectations around performance and productivity. This workshop will explore some of the implications of this overload.

This course can be designed to meet the specific requirements including workshops and online learning targeting managers and leaders or employees.

Description

We will identify the main causes that can trigger unhealthy reactions physically, mentally, and emotionally as well as discover some of the techniques used to cope with stress, including preventative measures. We will draw form the world of psychology, counselling and the health and fitness industry to help equip you with the tools and techniques to become a workplace warrior, not a workplace worrier.

The UK Prime Minister announced on the 9th January 2017 that she had asked for an independent review into how employers can better support all individuals currently in employment including those with mental ill health or poor well-being to remain in and thrive through work. This workshop includes information relating to that review (Thriving at Work) and the recommendations that came from it.

Study method describes the format in which the course will be delivered.
