Is the ‘all in one day’ mandatory training still valid?

Yes, the ‘all in one-day mandatory training course’ is still valid but it is not aligned to the Skills for Health UK Core Skills Training Framework (CSTF). Many NHS Trusts and recruitment/locum agencies who supply nurses, doctors, AHPs and other healthcare staff to NHS hospitals and private sector insist that all staff should attend mandatory and statutory training that is aligned to Skills for Health’s UK CSTF.

Some modules require additional practical assessments in your place of employment, for example, first aid, manual handling of objects, moving and handling of people and resuscitation. These modules can be used for professional reviews and revalidation for doctors and nurses.

On completion of introductory modules, those new to health and social care sectors can proceed to complete health and social care QCF and NVQ qualifications from Level 2 up to Level 6., as well as nursing and allied health professions.
