Overview

Uplatz provides this comprehensive course on SAP WM (Warehouse Management) module. It is a self-paced online video course. You will be awarded Course Completion Certificate at the end of the course.

SAP WM application software is the solution for managing and processing all the goods movement in the warehouse. It also assists in maintaining stock inventory in warehouses that are complex in nature. To have a timely and effective solution to the company’s logistics requirement, it is essential to have SAP WM implemented. The SAP WM helps in supporting the warehouse process by:

  • Defining and managing the structure of the warehouse
  • Harmonizing goods movement using advanced stock placement and stock removal strategies
  • Storage bin determination for inbound receipt in the warehouse
  • Storage bin determination for stock removal in case of outbound shipment
  • Internal warehouse processes like stock movement within the warehouse, physical inventory, etc.

Maintainable warehouse management and logistics place high difficulties on inventory management and warehouse management software. Elaborate processes are used to cover the individual work steps in the warehouse and to support them in every single phase when enhancing your SAP Warehouse Management. At the same time, the optimal addition of all upstream and downstream processes of the supply chain is a great challenge. SAP WM offers you efficient planning of your picking processes, storage and retrieval strategies for optimal warehouse utilization and flexible warehouse control processes including a warehouse management monitor. A separate material flow computer is no longer necessary due to the integration of the material flow control (MFS). Additionally, the system offers you an integrated handling unit management and a forklift control system. Through integration with SAP TM, PP or QM, EWM is the warehouse management software for your entire supply chain. The direct integration with Core of S/4 has made this integration much easier.

Within warehouse logistics, the functions executed are: Goods receipt processes, such as inbound delivery, put away and storage of own and external goods, Storage of materials at storage bin, Picking and packing of goods, Planning and controlling of goods transport and movement within the warehouse, e.g. via automatic conveyor system, Goods issue from the warehouse.

Uplatz’s SAP WM course is a SAP Warehouse Management online video training course and is a mix of relevant theory and ample system demonstration on IDES for each and every WM concept with detailed explanation. The course begins with explaining the basic organization structure and processes in SAP WM. The course then progressively builds on the important concepts of SAP WM and explores the important functions that you need to know as a SAP Warehouse Management consultant. By the end of this course, you will have a clear understanding of organizational structure, master data, the transaction process cycle, and warehouse management configuration. From a functional perspective, you will be able to perform end-to-end transactions on the SAP WM application and learn how to employ picking and put-away strategies.

FAQs

Study method describes the format in which the course will be delivered. At Reed Courses, courses are delivered in a number of ways, including online courses, where the course content can be accessed online remotely, and classroom courses, where courses are delivered in person at a classroom venue.

CPD stands for Continuing Professional Development. If you work in certain professions or for certain companies, your employer may require you to complete a number of CPD hours or points, per year. You can find a range of CPD courses on Reed Courses, many of which can be completed online.

A regulated qualification is delivered by a learning institution which is regulated by a government body. In England, the government body which regulates courses is Ofqual. Ofqual regulated qualifications sit on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF), which can help students understand how different qualifications in different fields compare to each other. The framework also helps students to understand what qualifications they need to progress towards a higher learning goal, such as a university degree or equivalent higher education award.

An endorsed course is a skills based course which has been checked over and approved by an independent awarding body. Endorsed courses are not regulated so do not result in a qualification - however, the student can usually purchase a certificate showing the awarding body's logo if they wish. Certain awarding bodies - such as Quality Licence Scheme and TQUK - have developed endorsement schemes as a way to help students select the best skills based courses for them.
