What You Get From Each Lesson

Lesson 1 – Colour Melt Technique

Your clients will go crazy for the results of the colour melt technique, taught by Jo McKay in your first lesson. Get to grips with skills ranging from colour placement sectioning to foil highlight technique. Incorporating a perimeter base colour and applying a lighter colour through the mid lengths and ends, the final result is a stunning amalgamation of caramel and oyster tones.

Lesson 2 – Reflective Ombre Hair Colour

Andrea Bennett takes charge for lesson 2, showing you how to create a reflective ombre hair colour that blends melded tones that gradually lighten as they approach the ends. You’ll benefit from Andrea’s advice on block angled sectioning, colour placement sectioning, foil sectioning and mid length to ends application – not to mention tips on product choice.

Lesson 3 – Splash Light Halo Colour Technique

Andrea’s in charge again for your third tutorial, in which she demonstrates the splash light halo colour technique. With pointers on colour choice and placement, she’ll teach you how to blend tones to create the perfect balance of colour. The end result? A gorgeous illusion of light that will delight your clients and keep them coming back for more.

Lesson 4 – Shadow and Light Hair Colour

In lesson 4, Louise Reeve shows you how to create a shadow and light hair colour. Perfecting your colour placement sectioning skills and your slice technique, Louise shows you how to fuse dark chocolate tones with maple and honey reflections. Gorgeously glossy and healthy, the final result is guaranteed to impress your clientele.

Lesson 5 – Three Tone Shine Colour Technique

Your final lesson is all about the three tone shine colour technique. Bee Dixon demonstrates how to apply diffused earth colour tones, varying the intensity to suit your client’s taste and skin tones. Encompassing technical skills from colour placement sectioning and multi-colour block tinting to roots-to-ends application, you’ll enjoy learning this chic, understated look.

Sian asked:

Would this corse give me enough of a qualification for colour I have cutting and styling qualification

Answer:

Hi Sian, Our MHDPro continual professional development colouring courses (CPD) focus on specific techniques or trends. This particular course focuses on the trend-led bronde & brunette looks that many clients request during their consultation. This one course alone would not provide proficiency in colouring hair but would help you add bronde & brunette techniques to your colouring repertoire. FAQs

Study method describes the format in which the course will be delivered. At Reed Courses, courses are delivered in a number of ways, including online courses, where the course content can be accessed online remotely, and classroom courses, where courses are delivered in person at a classroom venue.

CPD stands for Continuing Professional Development. If you work in certain professions or for certain companies, your employer may require you to complete a number of CPD hours or points, per year. You can find a range of CPD courses on Reed Courses, many of which can be completed online.

A regulated qualification is delivered by a learning institution which is regulated by a government body. In England, the government body which regulates courses is Ofqual. Ofqual regulated qualifications sit on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF), which can help students understand how different qualifications in different fields compare to each other. The framework also helps students to understand what qualifications they need to progress towards a higher learning goal, such as a university degree or equivalent higher education award.

An endorsed course is a skills based course which has been checked over and approved by an independent awarding body. Endorsed courses are not regulated so do not result in a qualification - however, the student can usually purchase a certificate showing the awarding body's logo if they wish. Certain awarding bodies - such as Quality Licence Scheme and TQUK - have developed endorsement schemes as a way to help students select the best skills based courses for them.
