PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner training is the combination of both Foundation and Practitioner courses. This PRINCE2 course have been combined so that you can achieve the full qualification in just 5-days.

PRINCE2 Course Structure

• Five days, with a two-part structure.
• In the first three days, you will prepare for and take the PRINCE2 Foundation exam.
• The remaining two days will be to prepare for and take the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam.

What is PRINCE2:

PRINCE2 (Projects IN Controlled Environments) is a process-based methodology for project management. Because it is generic, it is flexible enough to be tailored to any project or any organisation, and because it is a best practice solution, it has been proven to work.

PRINCE2 training is managed by AXELOS, a leading worldwide best practice methodology provider. It is used extensively by the UK government, as well as in private businesses such as the telecommunications company Orange.

What is the PRINCE2 qualification:

PRINCE2 qualifications include, PRINCE2 Foundation, PRINCE2 Practitioner, PRINCE2 Re-Registration. These qualifications provide proof to employers that you have the knowledge and skills required to pass the course and lead or work effectively in a project management team.

What is the PRINCE2 Exam:

There are several levels of examinations with PRINCE2 and Foundation is the first of the two examinations that you are required to pass. The next examination is the Practitioner exam which must be passed after completing the Foundation exam. These examinations are designed to test whether the candidate has the skills required to become an effective member of a project management team.

How long does PRINCE2 last:

The PRINCE2 Foundation certification has no defined period and will never expire or need to be renewed. This doesn’t apply to the PRINCE2 Practitioner certification though as this has to be renewed within 3 years or else the candidate will lose his Registered Practitioner status.

PRINCE2 Courses

PRINCE2 Foundation

This qualification is the introductory course that will help you understand the fundamentals of the PRINCE2 Methodology. The PRINCE2 training course lasts for 3 days and includes the exam during the last day. During the course, you will be able to gain the basic understanding to work with and as part of a team while using the PRINCE2 techniques. If you are successful in completing the exam, you will have the option to take the advanced practitioner qualification.

PRINCE2 Practitioner

This qualification is the most advanced out of the PRINCE2 courses. The 2-day certification will teach you how to apply the PRINCE2 methodologies to a given scenario and work within any project. You will also be provided course materials and the exam to help you pass the course. please note that the classroom training will take one day, with the exam being taken on the morning of the second day.

Pre-Course Reading

There are some exercises that it is recommended you complete before starting the course. These are:

• Reading 3 chapters from the official PRINCE2® manual, “Managing Successful Projects with PRINCE2®”
• Completing a pre-course workbook
• 70 multiple choice questions designed to test PRINCE2® knowledge

This PRINCE2 course is open to everyone and there are no prerequisites.

PRINCE2 Practitioner exam:

• Focuses on the ability to apply PRINCE2® to an example scenario.
• Objective testing, a type of multiple choice.
• 8 questions, 10 items per question.
• Two-and-a-half hours.
• The pass mark is 55%.
• The PRINCE2® Practitioner exam starts at 9:30 am on the final day.
