Do you need to have Power BI, or does the course give you student access?

Answer:

The course does not give the student access to Power BI, however, it is not required to complete the course. There are exercise files within the course that are optional to complete. If you choose to complete these exercises, you will need to have Power BI installed. The exercises are not required to complete the course though.

Being new to this. What are the minimum requirements you need on laptop in order to run this course ie version of Excel etc?

Answer:

You can access the course from any computer, tablet or mobile device with an internet connection. You need a modern browser such as Chrome, Firefox, or Internet Explorer 11. We do not require you to have Excel to complete the course, but without it you will not be able to do the exercises that go along with each lesson. If you have Excel and want to complete the exercises, you will need Excel 2010 or higher.

Study method describes the format in which the course will be delivered.
