Overview

The Paediatric First Aid Level 3 Blended course is delivered part online and then with a 1 day face to face day at your venue in England. This 12 hr course is designed around those that work or live around early years (0yrs to 16yrs) i.e Nursery staff / Childminders / Teachers and TA's / Pre School Practitioners etc.

This course covers: Appropriate contents of a first aid box, Recording accidents and incidents, Planning for first aid emergencies, Dealing with emergencies, Unconscious casualty and seizures, Resuscitation, Shock, Anaphylactic shock, Electric shock, Bleeding, Burns and scalds, Choking, Fractures and dislocations, Head, neck and back injuries, Poisoning, Foreign bodies in eyes, ears and nose, Eye injuries, Bites and stings, Effects of extreme heat and cold, Febrile convulsions, Chronic medical conditions, including epilepsy, asthma, sickle cell anaemia, diabetes , Meningitis and other serious sudden illnesses.

Who can I perform First Aid on after completion? Children and Babies.

Upon successful completion certification is valid for 3 Years.

Timings – This is a Blended 1 day online and 1 day practical face to face course/12 hours. The course is delivered between 9am to 4pm, with appropriate breaks.

Ratios – We work on a ratio of 1:12 Candidates.

Administration – Each candidate is given a Paediatric First Aid Book to keep and certificated upon successful completion of the course.

Assessment – Each candidate must pass 1 x Theory Multiple Choice Question Paper plus an ongoing practical assessment.

FREE – Epi Pen Training and Defibrillator Training is offered FREE with this booking to all candidates participating.

Requirements

You will need to discuss availability with us to confirm the date you wish for your training to be delivered at your venue for a group of no more than 12 candidates.

If you would prefer we can deliver this course part online (this allows the course to be delivered over just one day). Your students will all need to complete a 3-6hr online course before completing the practical day.

If we can not agree upon a date will shall issue an immediate refund through Reed.
