Overview

This Paediatric First Aid course is our most advanced paediatric first aid course. It includes 6 hours of pre-learning and 6 hours of classroom based learning at our training centres in London.

Description

Our Paediatric First Aid course covers the following subjects:

  • Prioritising the scene
  • Unconscious baby and child
  • Baby and child not breathing CPR
  • Choking baby and child
  • Wounds and bleeds
  • Shock
  • First aid kits and hygiene techniques
  • Burns and scalds
  • Anaphylaxis
  • Foreign body in eyes, ears and nose
  • Recording, reporting accidents
  • Managing fractures
  • Head, neck and a back injuries
  • Conditions affecting the eyes, ears and nose
  • Chronic medical conditions or sudden illness including sickle cell anaemia, diabetes, asthma, meningitis and febrile convulsions
  • Effects of extreme heat and cold
  • Electric shock

It’s a fun, informative, action packed course with a mix of practical scenarios and a pre-learning package to ensure you feel confident dealing with any life-threatening child and baby First Aid emergency. The highly experienced emergency service trainers will use their own real life experiences to make it a great learning experience for all learners.
