This course will discuss the current overprescribing crisis in healthcare and potential solutions. Specifically, this course will provide an overview of overprescribing in eldercare and mental health settings will discuss how taking unnecessary medication harms patients and increases the risk of addiction. It will also discuss how to minimize the risks of overprescribing in treatment.
