Description
FOCUS OF THE COURSE IS ON:
ORGANIC MOVEMENT.
Investigate the laws of motion, gravity, balance and off-balance, effort, resistance. Through physical exercises and improvisation, we train the body to use alternative and sustainable ways of moving, stimulating your imagination and physical sensations. This knowledge is fundamental to research and develop your own movement language.
PATTERNS OF COMPOSITION.
Learn how to use patterns of composition as creative devices for staging. Explore how you can use shape, gesture, tempo, duration, repetition and spatial relationship, to compose and articulate movement in space. When focusing on patterns, we expand the possibilities of articulating structures, by entering forms that are organic, geometric and alive.
EMBODIMENT OF COLORS.
We use embodiment techniques to invite students “to enter into the form”. When you embody, you observe and take on the form of what you see around you. To embody means: to see and transpose reality into a poetical form with your body. Through improvisation and movement analysis you will explore how colors move and behave in the space:
-
How much space each color occupies.
-
How do they move in space.
-
Which geometry they take.
-
What is the rhythm of each color.
-
Which dramatic and storytelling territories each color reveals.
FINAL SHARING.
In the final part of the Online Physical Theatre Course, you will be invited to work on a final presentation focus on the embodiment of a Painting. You will present your work in front of the class and receive feedback from the Teacher to improve your work.
