At the end of this course, students shall learn how to:

(1) understand the anatomy and physiology as related to nail treatments;

(2) prepare the work area;

(3) prepare the client;

(4) provide manicure treatment;

(5) provide pedicure treatment;

(6) be familiar with the essential chemistry of artificial nails;

(7) apply tips to the nails; and

(8) apply overlays.

To achieve these goals, this course shall make use of interactive materials to present the concepts of the topics to be discussed. Assessments shall be done after the entire course to check for knowledge retention and understanding.

Home service is very popular for getting or providing nail care since the tools can just easily be carried around. However, of course, it is still a popular service in salon and spas.
