There is a science in putting hair and make as we all have different skin types and skin color and the purpose of putting make up is to complement beauty not cover it. To be an effective make up artist one has to learn the tools of the trade from sponges, brushes, airbrush make up to a wide range of make up types. And to become a professional – one has to be creative and artistic, learn how to experiment with different eye make up playing with different eye colors on different skin types.

Well manicured nails means that the person takes the time to take care of themselves. In the business world an individual who has a well manicured nails may gain more trust than those who don’t since it is also a way of how one person present oneself.

At the end of this course, students shall learn how to:

(1) be familiar with therapy practice skills;

(2) understand the skin;

(3) be familiar with different skin types;

(4) be aware of cleansing products;

(5) understand the effect of lighting; and

(6) understand health and safety.

(7) understand the anatomy and physiology as related to nail treatments;

(8) prepare the work area;

(9) prepare the client;

(10) provide manicure treatment;

(11) provide pedicure treatment;

(12) be familiar with the essential chemistry of artificial nails;

(13) apply tips to the nails; and

(14) apply overlays.

To achieve these goals, this course shall make use of interactive materials to present the concepts of the topics to be discussed. Assessments shall be done after the entire course to check for knowledge retention and understanding.

Home service is very popular for getting or providing make up and nail care since the tools can just easily be carried around. However, of course, it is still a popular service in salon and spas.

This course does not work on Tablets and Mobile Phones.
