You will develop your understanding of how diabetes affects the body and the impact diabetes has on the individual, others, and society. The treatment and management of diabetes and common complications of diabetes. This course will increase your awareness and knowledge of caring for and managing diabetes. Currently, in the UK 4.3 million people are diagnosed with either type 2 or type 1 diabetes. Around 850,000 people are still to be diagnosed. Although diabetes can be life-changing, many cases of diabetes can be managed by lifestyle changes.
