Description
This long-term asset Certificate will provide participants with an in-depth
knowledge of the key role of asset information and how this information can
enable a good strategic management of long-term assets and their operational
activities. The course also defines and differentiate between requirements of
long/short term asset and information and the appropriate management of asset
information and knowledge systems. This course will teach learners how to use
standard accounting practices to record and track all transactions related to the
company's hard assets, including any tagging or labeling of the items and
maintaining the database of inventory of these assets.
At the end of this Certificate course, you will be awarded a Long-term Assets
Diploma, and will also be able to:
Analyze and compile financial data, document the financial transactions that
have occurred, and assist in preparation of the general ledger accounts by
providing a record of assets
Ensure the integrity of financial records, enter it accurately in the system, and
make sure that it is compliant with the accounting principles and standards
Conduct a thorough audit of various financial transactions, records, journal
entries, etc., and to verify the credit and debit balance
Ensure that all the depreciation has been posted and recorded in appropriate
depreciation accounts
Make recommendations to the management regarding which long-term assets
can be disposed and ways to update the accounting procedures and policies
