Description
This course is completed online on our online portal over 12 - 18 months. Throughout this Level 5 Residential Childcare course, your designated tutor will be assessing you via written assignments, work product evidence, professional discussions, witness testimonies, and observation.
While completing assignments throughout this Ofsted-approved and accredited Residential Childcare qualification, you’ll learn how to lead and manage a team within a residential childcare setting, understand the context of residential childcare for children with complex disabilities or conditions, and implement policies and procedures.
Once completed, you would have obtained a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (RQF), enabling you to manage an existing setting or open up your own residential setting.
Who is this course for?
This is the required qualification for learners wanting to work in residential care with children in a management role. New managers will need to complete the qualification within three years of employment.
Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements for this course; however, candidates should have a job secured in management or leadership in a childcare setting and should be at least 19 years of age to begin this Level 5 Residential Childcare Course.
Career path
Upon completing this Level 5 Residential Childcare Course, candidates will be able to work in a leadership or management position in a residential childcare setting. You may be able to work in supported living accommodations, semi-independent living, children's residential homes and boarding schools.
