What is the course duration? Can I finish it in maybe 3 months? As I have been working for a few years in IAG.

Answer:

Hi Danielle, you will have 1 year's access to our learning platform. However, this course is completed entirely at your own pace, meaning that this would be possible depending on how much time you devote to the course.

This was helpful. Thank you for your feedback.
Jane asked:

Do you offer a payment plan option with advice and guidance level 4

Answer:

Hi Jane, this is correct. You will pay a small initial payment, followed by monthly payments of £100 until the course is paid for.

This was helpful. Thank you for your feedback.
Tracy Prime asked:

Hi are the students on this course observed interviewing at all ?

Answer:

This was helpful. Thank you for your feedback.
Dawn asked:

I am currently working in IT, how would I be able to do the observation section?

Answer:

Hi Dawn. We would recommend sourcing a temporary position within your workplace, that will allow you to provide advice and guidance to clients. If this is not possible, students in that past have sourced voluntary placements in organisations such as Charities - this will be sufficient.

This was helpful. Thank you for your feedback.
Shereen asked:

Hello, How much of the course is practical/observational? Currently on mat leave, and wondering if evidence can be given remotely

Answer:

Hi Shereen, the majority of the course is covered through theory based essays and a smaller element is covered via practical observation. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we are currently conducting observations remotely through Zoom/Skype. So yes, that would be absolutely fine.

This was helpful. Thank you for your feedback.
Jeannette asked:

I work in lecturing. I sometimes have to advise students, but at the moment, I am only able to refer them on. Can I do this course?

I am wanting to do this qualification as I used to be a job coach but am currently a secretary. Would this mean being observed at work impossible?

However, we on average see this completed within 6-9 months but the 12 months is in place as it is designed to be self-paced. It generally does depend on the individual but we do have many students who work full time on the course. Thank you!

Amie asked:

I understand that course completion normally takes 6-9 months - but what is the weekly recommended study time? How many hours should be spent overall?

FAQs

Study method describes the format in which the course will be delivered. At Reed Courses, courses are delivered in a number of ways, including online courses, where the course content can be accessed online remotely, and classroom courses, where courses are delivered in person at a classroom venue.

CPD stands for Continuing Professional Development. If you work in certain professions or for certain companies, your employer may require you to complete a number of CPD hours or points, per year. You can find a range of CPD courses on Reed Courses, many of which can be completed online.

A regulated qualification is delivered by a learning institution which is regulated by a government body. In England, the government body which regulates courses is Ofqual. Ofqual regulated qualifications sit on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF), which can help students understand how different qualifications in different fields compare to each other. The framework also helps students to understand what qualifications they need to progress towards a higher learning goal, such as a university degree or equivalent higher education award.

An endorsed course is a skills based course which has been checked over and approved by an independent awarding body. Endorsed courses are not regulated so do not result in a qualification - however, the student can usually purchase a certificate showing the awarding body's logo if they wish. Certain awarding bodies - such as Quality Licence Scheme and TQUK - have developed endorsement schemes as a way to help students select the best skills based courses for them.
