The Diploma in Mental Health Awareness Level 3 is designed for individuals with an interest in working in mental health as therapists and social workers. Mental health is imperative for any person to function effectively in their lives. However, with undue stress, anxiety and chaos around us we don’t realise how easily people can slip into anxiety and depression. The course gives learners an understanding of mental health awareness, how to recognise symptoms and treat the condition.
The course will discuss stress and anxiety, depression, post-natal, bipolar disorder, eating disorders and dementia. If you work in mental health or want to become a mental health care worker this course is comprehensive and will offer great insight into what it takes to have that job role.
The Diploma in Mental Health Awareness Level 3 will discuss how stress and anxiety can cause depression and mental illness. If left untreated it can lead to dementia in older people. It is an extensive course that will give learners an understanding of why it is important to seek assistance when struggling with such disorders, and how to help patients overcome their challenges and raise mental health awareness in the community.
The course has been endorsed under the Quality Licence Scheme. This means that Global Edulink has undergone an external quality check to ensure that the organisation and the courses it offers, meet defined quality criteria. The completion of this course alone does not lead to a regulated qualification* but may be used as evidence of knowledge and skills gained. The Learner Unit Summary may be used as evidence towards Recognition of Prior Learning if you wish to progress your studies in this subject. To this end the learning outcomes of the course have been benchmarked at Level 3 against level descriptors published by Ofqual, to indicate the depth of study and level of demand/complexity involved in successful completion by the learner.
The course itself has been designed by Global Edulink to meet specific learners’ and/or employers’ requirements which cannot be satisfied through current regulated qualifications. Quality License Scheme endorsement involves robust and rigorous quality audits by external auditors to ensure quality is continually met. A review of courses is carried out as part of the endorsement process.
