Level 2 Certificate in Equality and Diversity (RQF)

The Level 2 award in awareness of end of life care provides learners with the opportunity to develop and understanding surrounding different perspectives of death and dying, and the impact it has on individuals. This helps to progress the skill set of anyone within a caring role as they can provide more compassionate care towards those nearing the end of their life as well as being able to provide support for those involved such as family members. The award covers the aims and principles of end of life care as well as how to access a range of support services in end of life care.

The qualification will be assessed through a number of essays constructed into an online portfolio. All units, assignments and learning materials for the course can be accessed through our online learning platform. Students have 12 months access to the online learning platform where they may study entirely at their own pace. Learners on the course will cover the following unit:

• Understand how to work in end of life care

Whilst on the course learners will receive the following all-inclusive features:

Upon completion of the course learners will receive their accredited certification. This course is appropriate for learners who have already achieved a Level 2 qualification in health and social care and are looking to further develop their knowledge and skills in this area. People who work in areas such as hospices, hospitals and care homes may look into partaking in this course in order to better their workplace practice and develop their skills meaning they can provide a higher standard of care for people as they reach the end of their lives.

This course also provides a great opportunity to enhance your CPD which means that it is useful for anyone who may need any kind of understanding on this subject regardless of whether or not they are directly involved with the care of people who are nearing the end of life.

• Students must be able to demonstrate skills in Maths and English at Level 2
• Students must be at least 16 years old

This course is helpful to further professional development of practicing carers as well learners who are looking into a career in caring by enabling progression onto other qualifications such as the level 3 diploma in health and social care for adults as well as other related caring qualifications.
