Overview

The Level 2 Award in Rainscreen Cladding Installation is aimed at individuals who wish to
demonstrate their knowledge, skills and competence in the installation of rainscreen
cladding systems.

This Qualification was developed due to the Grenfell Tower fire and with more than 2000 High rise buildings still with non compliant cladding nationwide. The UK government has made £5Billon available for the removal of these existing claddings and more trained and competent will be required to carry out this task.

Description

This Cladding Qualification gives individuals looking to work in Construction Cladding a starting knowledge on how to install and remove Rainscreen cladding. Candidates must demonstrate the level of knowledge and/or skills described in the units.

Each candidate is required to produce evidence after the practical sessions, that demonstrates their achievement of all of the learning outcomes and assessment criteria for each unit and must be able demonstrate competency when installing rainscreen cladding

This Qualification is for everyone who wishes to start a career in construction cladding installation

Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification, however initial assessments will be carried out on candidate's skills and knowledge to identify any gaps and help plan the
assessment.

This Qualification is a stepping stone in securing NVQ 2 and 3 Diploma in Cladding Installation Occupation.
