Requirements:

Academic profile and achievement, generally a minimum of an actual or predicted 2nd class Honours law degree or GDL/CPE. A sufficient command of the English language to successfully complete the course. Students with an overseas degree should discuss their eligibility with the SRA. English language requirements. Students that have completed a degree outside the UK and do not come from a ‘majority English speaking country’, should provide a certified copy of one of the below approved English Language Tests: IELTS (academic) - a score of 6.5 in all 4 areas - Pearsons academic - a score of 58 in four areas.

Assessment Methods:

The course is assessed by a variety of assessment methods including open book examinations, course work, which includes a professional practice dissertation, and oral skills role plays.

Modules:

Students cover the following core practice areas in either corporate or commercial and private contexts: business law and practice; civil and criminal litigation; and property law and practice; additional areas of study include: professional conduct and regulation; wills and administration of estates and taxation; plus 3 vocational elective subjects relevant to the choice of LPC route.
